Pre-COVID, I was surfing Ma'ili Point on Oʻahu’s west side. Middle of the day. No shade. I’d just wrapped a spearfishing session in front of our hotel and was dehydrated, sunburned, and buzzing from the heat.

Out of nowhere, the waves started firing. And then this SUP-paddling janitor (yes, really) rolled through — charging with confidence, rocking a hooded rashguard and water hat.

Jealousy hit me harder than the sun. I scoured the internet and found exactly one hooded rashguard… and it sucked. Wore it anyway. Stretched out after a few washes. Looked like a jellyfish. But it worked.

That was my lightbulb moment. I set out to design the best men’s hooded sun shirt I could imagine. After testing everything on the market for years, the GHOSTAMMO Reversible Rashguard was born.
