What are the main differences between single layer men's surf hoodies and the reversible Men's hoodied rashguard?

• Single layer rashguards are lighter, and dry a touch faster

Product Story-

Ever feel like wearing sunscreen just does not quite cut it on those marathon UPF sun pounding sessions? Pre-covid I was surfing Ma'ili point on the West Side of Oahu, and it was one of those days on the west side that was burning hot, and it was dead in the middle of the day, always too sketchy to leave your car keys on the beach.

I had just finished a marathon spear fishing session that day deep in the caves in front of the Disney Aulani (believe it or not). Side note - if you ever spear fish there you feel and are treated like a disney character when you are tromping back to your car carrying bloodly fish back through the aulani. Needless to say, I was hot, dehydrated, and my face and neck felt like they were burning (or even melting) off... you know the feeling.

Out of nowhere waves started pumping, breaking over the second and even third reef, and I started shaking a bit. Low and behold out paddles this janitor (SUP - Stand Up Paddler). Homie was completely charging, and clearly a local. What a PIMP.

So he had on a hooded rashguard, with a water hat, and instead of burning from the sun, I was now burning with jealousy. So literally that day I went online, and I could only find ONE, and I mean only rash guard with hood on the internet, or even amazon. So I bought it. It was terrible, I still own it believe it or not, I kept it.

It was one of those men's surf hoodies that turns into a women's used sleeping bag (stretches beyond belief) after wearing it and washing it too much. However, it solved my sun problem for both spear fishing, regular fishing, and surfing... I even wore it hunting once.

I was hooked. I then decided to design the best mens hooded sun shirt I could think of, and after testing every water hoodie on the market for years, the GHOSTAMMO hooded rashguard was born.
